Bonneville Environmental Foundation’s program, Solar 4R Schools, educates students, teachers and community members about the science and benefits of renewable energy technology. Northwest Youth Corps received a Solar 4R Schools grant in late 2009, to install a 1.02 kilowatt (kW) solar array and informational kiosk at our campus, as well as receive educational materials. A later EWEB greenpower grant, in 2010, increased the size of our array to 40.48 kW.
