Northwest Youth Corps recognized as a NASCC ECO Corps

The Excellence in Corps Operation (ECO) Committee, on behalf of NASCC and the corps community, hereby recognizes Northwest Youth Corps as a 2004 NASCC ECO Corps, February 6, 2005.

The National Association of Service & Conservation Corps (NASCC) unites and supports youth corps as a preeminent strategy for achieving the nation's youth development, community service and environmental restoration goals.

Excellence in Corps Operation is a peer assessment process which recognizes programs that make a commitment to high-quality standards and continuous improvement. Its purpose is to promote and recognize excellence in the Corps movement and provide evidence of a Corps continued self and outside evaluation. The process is a tool to identify strengths and challenges and bolster program quality. Programs committed to high standards and continuous improvement are recognized with an ECO Award. Federal agencies and national funders see NASCC ECO recognition as a significant indicator of a program’s commitment to excellence.
