Northwest Youth Corps - Campus upgrade milestone

The new cooler and freezer walk-ins are now installed and operational in NYC’s new, more functional food room. NYC received its first delivery of pallets of food through a new, wide roll-up door.

The new tool room also has a roll-up door for better access. The old cramped storage and work space has been replaced by separate, well-lit tool storage and workshop spaces.

Mike Moskovitz, from the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation, cuts the ribbon to inaugurate the new walk-in cooler. To celebrate these improvements, Northwest Youth Corps was pleased to host a “Thank You” luncheon and ribbon cutting on April 20. Over 40 supporters attended this event on the NYC campus. Guests enjoyed a tasty lunch prepared by students and staff of NYC’s award-winning culinary arts class. Guests also viewed NYC’s new YouthWorks video and learned more about our programs.
